Dr. Knapp is a 1989 Graduate of Texas A&M University. She has been certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association since 2001 and has been a certified animal acupuncturist through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and American Veterinary acupuncture society since 2002. She applies all her postdoctoral skills daily in the practice because of her special interest in sports medicine. Dr. Knapp has actively trained multiple dogs in the sport of dog agility for 30 years and competed in local and national agility trials for the last 29 years. Dr. Knapp is a skilled surgeon and shows a keen interest in internal medicine and has been with 1960 Animal Hospital since October 2022. When not hard at work or solving cases, Dr. Knapp spends quality time with her husband, two children (Alan and Amelia), two Shelties (Jaxson and Dori), three cats (Freedom, Polly and Ashlie), and her 32 yr old African Grey (Kingpin). We appreciate her hard work, countless hours, dedication and contributions to 1960 Animal Hospital. She is very valuable to us, and her clientele will surely agree that Dr. Knapp goes above and beyond the call of duty, and we are very fortunate to have her on our team.
